Privacy Policy
This policy describes how we handle information when you visit si-lock.com and when you request S◉LOCK Founding Preview early purchase access. S◉LOCK is designed as a local-first / private desktop product: your prompts and files on a S◉LOCK system are intended to stay on hardware you control unless you choose otherwise. This website is a marketing and enquiry surface, not the full product runtime.
1. Who we are
VF Empire Ltd publishes S◉LOCK and operates si-lock.com. For privacy requests, email [email protected] with subject line “Privacy”.
2. What we collect on this website
- Early-access form: email (required), optional name, interest category, free-text note (e.g. hardware), and consent flag.
- Technical logs: standard web server / CDN logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps, referrer) as processed by our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages).
- Email: if you write to us, the content of your message and address.
We do not require an account to browse this marketing site.
3. Why we process it (legal bases)
- Consent — to contact you about Founding Preview / early purchase when you submit the form.
- Legitimate interests — site security, abuse prevention, basic analytics of traffic patterns via host logs, responding to business enquiries.
- Contract / pre-contract — if we invite you to purchase and you proceed, processing needed to negotiate and perform that relationship.
4. How we use it
- To evaluate Founding Preview fit (hardware class, use case) and invite you when seats open.
- To send programme updates you requested (you may opt out anytime).
- To protect the site and investigate abuse.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use Founding form content to train third-party foundation models.
5. Sharing
We use infrastructure processors such as Cloudflare (hosting/CDN) and our lead-intake endpoint on the-os.ai to receive form submissions. They process data on our instructions for hosting and delivery only. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
6. Retention
- Leads / enquiries: kept while the Founding programme is active and for a reasonable period afterward for follow-up, then deleted or anonymised unless a longer period is required for legal claims.
- Server logs: retained according to host defaults (typically short operational windows).
7. International transfers
Our product is EU-born and local-first. Website infrastructure may involve global CDN edges. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by our processors (e.g. standard contractual clauses) where applicable.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location (including UK/EU GDPR), you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, or port your data, and to withdraw consent. Contact [email protected]. You may also complain to your local supervisory authority.
9. Cookies
This marketing site is primarily static. Essential hosting/security cookies or similar technologies may be set by Cloudflare. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on this page set. If that changes, we will update this policy.
10. Product runtime (S◉LOCK on your machine)
When you run S◉LOCK software on your own hardware, processing of your files and prompts is designed to stay on-device by default. Optional network features (if you enable them) are under your control. A separate product privacy notice may accompany licensed software releases; this page covers the public website and Founding enquiries.
11. Children
This programme is aimed at professionals and organisations, not children under 16.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top will change. Material changes may be noted on this page.
